Capturing Travel Memories in Pocket Pages

One of the things I like most about my weekly pocket scrapping habit is that it works for special occasions and travel as well as it does for everyday life. This means that I don't "get behind" on either one of those categories because I'm working on the other one. Weeks when we are traveling I just end up with more photos on the layout than regular weeks. And with a pocket style layout I find it pretty easy to add in more photos because you are already working within the grid framework of the layout. Which makes it easy to keep things organized and looking good even if you've included 15 photos.

Here are the pages I made from our recent road trip from Oregon to Arizona and back.

Even if I get behind during trips like these and don't make my layouts every Saturday, I find I can still sit down and set up several weeks in an hour or less. This is how I've managed to complete a weekly scrapbook layout every week since 2015!

You can find the layout template that I use every week for my pocket scrapping here. I've used it for over 6 years, so it's a pretty good one! I also like this set of frames for when I'm really trying to cram in more photos.
