I hope I am posting this in the right place. I am new to digital scrapbooking. I scrapbooked with the old-fashioned paper method for years and got away from it, but have recently started getting into the digital stuff. As part of my journey, I discovered Goodnotes and digital planning, which I absolutely love! I have noticed that people also use Goodnotes for scrapbooking, not just planning. I am curious if there are any others out there using Goodnotes for their scrapbook layouts. If there are, do you have any tips, gotchas, or tricks? What limitations have you found using Goodnotes, if any?
If I am using the elements tool in Goodnotes, is it better to import the PNG files or save them as images and then import them to the elements tool? Also, is there a way to add multiple PNG‘s to a new elements collection at one time instead of one by one?
At some point, I would like to be able to have my pages printed in a book from Snapfish or the equivalent. Will I still be able to do this using Goodnotes? I guess I am most used to 12 x 12 layout and not sure I can do this in Goodnotes. Not that making them in a smaller size would be a bad thing. I’m just not sure how to go about it so they print properly.
I have also been playing around with Canva and created some of my own widgets for my planner. Should I just stick with Canva for creating scrapbook layouts? I just really love Goodnotes and would love to figure out how to do layouts that I can eventually print if possible.
I have found lots of Goodnotes tutorials online, but most of them are for planning, I haven’t found a ton for digital scrapbooking so if anyone has any good resources, I would love to see them!

I love using Goodnotes, but as I came to it well after I had been digital scrapbooking for a while, I don't use it for scrapbooking, but for more basic tasks.
Goodnotes is a pretty limited application. So while you can certainly create simple scrapbooks in it, I think ultimately it may impede what you want to do. If you have a very minimal or magazine style, I think Goodnotes would work well.
I don't think you can check on the resolution of a page from within Goodnotes, so you'll have to be careful that you are not working in a canvas that is too small and thus won't print well. Our screens have a resolution of 72 dpi, and stuff for print is usually at 300 dpi. So it may look okay on your screen, but not print great. And I don't think you can check this within Goodnotes.
I haven't found a way to add more than one PNG at a time. I just keep all my stickers in different notebooks, rather than using the elements tool.

Thanks for the feedback. I was just reading the blog posts you linked and something caught my attention. You said in of them
“Also, there's easy access to all the stickers you could want and I don't have to store them in real life.”
so once I have added a sticker book to Goodnotes I can delete it from the files on my iPad? Or not save it at all if I have just opened it in Goodnotes? I have been saving them all in my files which of course is taking up storage. And I have ALOT!
Ugh, I am such a dope. Lol
I keep all my stickers in notebooks in GoodNotes. Once I have loaded them there you don’t need to keep them in your files.
